Love the toothbrush hate the app

Ok so this is currently the best toothbrush I have owned from a teeth cleaning perspective. That being said the app is terrible. It forgets it has synced the last session constantly, doubling up my brushing time, adding extra sessions to days. How can you get a good history of your tooth cleaning activities if the app does not work well?
I rate the app 1 star and the brush 5 stars giving this review a 3 average.
