The app ist almost perfect. I use the io 8n, and it recognizes very well wich part i am brushing. The only flaw i have now, is that it does not recognize an Pause for spitting out in between. Then it says a sad smiley, but i want finished

I bought the Oral-B iO 10 toothbrush and connected it to the app on my iPhone. Next day the app updated and lost the toothbrush and charger. Countless attempts to reconnect to the app have failed. It finds the toothbrush but can’t find the charger base. Oral-B provides zero support for their flagship $400 dollar toothbrush nor provides any viable solutions. Factory reset fails on all counts. The app is utterly useless. It’s just a gimmick to sell toothbrush replacement heads.
The app is so sigma by Knowing where to brush and how long I’ve done it and it also is very skibidi because it helps my breath be good in public, which is very sigma of Oral-B
This app and the tooth brush are amazing except the only thing you have to have, the location. It was struggling to find where the location of where it was brushing, for example I would brush back left tooth and it would think I’m brushing right side. Needs improvement
The app overall is great, it makes me want to brush my teeth more, its just how the toothbrush tracks my teeth that hits my nerves a bit
Please update firmware to send push notifications when you need to charge your io brush that would make a HUGE difference and be the best companion app out there!!
Love how it tracks my progress and shows me how to improve my brushing techniques.
Sometimes works good and sometimes I have to quit using it because all the tracking of the position for the toothbrush is completely off. So sad.
The app now depends on the phone’s camera to capture coverage. However I could be brushing the upper right teeth and the app is recording lower left. Before the update it provided guidance I could follow on my own and it worked fine. Now using the camera it’s useless. I just brush without the app now.
Amazing toothbrush with an ok app because it lacks in the ability to tell which part of teeth are being brushed. For the price I believe it should be more than capable of cheaper toothbrushes that can tell the difference between my front and back teeth. Other than issue which is annoying to me because I don’t want to brush my teeth for 3 minutes to get a 100% coverage. The concept of the app is cool and helps keep you accountable.
May 6, 2025: Bought two Oral-B iO 9 brushes, specifically for the AI tooth tracking. It's not accurate at all. When I move to another area, it doesn't detect it, or sometimes it will move to another area on its own even if I haven't stopped brushing the same area. This morning I decided to just brush until all the teeth turned white, because I wanted to see how long it would take. After receiving a warning that I passed two minutes (not my fault, you're saying my teeth aren't clean yet), all in all, it took over 4 minutes of brushing for this app to determine I was done and all my teeth were cleaned. Absolutely ridiculous. And the app has absolutely NO links for support or contact or anything else. Would NOT recommend. May 14, 2025: I got a developer response so I decided to try what they recommended, letting the brush rest against the tooth. Did not work. I have the brush in the bottom right of my mouth, just holding it on one tooth, and on my phone it's still bouncing over to the middle section, then to the left section, then back to the middle........ It simply does not work. I could have bought 2 $30 electric toothbrushes, but I spent $500 on these two toothbrushes specifically because they offered this feature, which does not work. I'll be seeking a refund, because this is just false advertising. The way I am brushing is not incorrect, yet your app says I need to brush for over 4 minutes for full coverage. But then has the audacity to tell me at 2 minutes that I've been brushing for too long. Wouldn't have to brush so long to get accurate coverage stats if your product worked. One star review still stands, and Oral-B support is clueless.
Originally loved the app. The past two days the app doesn’t even open up anymore. I’ve reset my phone, uninstalled, and reinstalled the app multiple times, but the app still doesn’t work.
After recent update app no longer moves on from the oral b screen and crashes
We were excited to use the extremely expensive Oral B-io with the paired app. When brushing teeth, the app bounces all around and is in no way tracking what teeth are being brushed. When brushing the upper left it will bounce between the middle, right, lower right, anywhere but upper left. And so on. This happens to both of us when using our individual apps and brushes. At this point I want a refund because it’s a junk product and app. 90% of the time they don’t work properly. Note: We do ensure we go slowly tooth by tooth, working one section at a time. Unfortunately it’s a fundamental problem with the product and app.
The app does not catch all coverage. Brushed for 2 minutes and most areas indicated they weren’t touched.
I really like the app tracks your brushing and when to brush the next section but it constantly jumps from one section to the other like it can’t tell where I’m brushing and it takes longer to bush just to get the complete notification. It’s frustrating that I just close the app and brush without it. Hope it gets fixed soon but I’ll just time it myself like I did with my old toothbrush.
The spot I’m cleaning on it keeps not showing on the app and when I’m brushing on it, but it says don’t clean it for too long when I’m on exactly on that spot in don’t know what to do
No longer accurately shows the percentage brushed. Doesn’t ever show 100% brushed even after 3-4 minutes
What happened to being able to choose the number of sections? I always had 6 but last night my brush didn’t vibrate when it was supposed to so I checked the app and I can no longer choose 6 sections. Boo.
Adding to my review from two days ago, I have called many times and for a significant number of times everyone I spoke to has listened and been polite. However, outside of one person who told me to ignore the app, I have not heard any suggestions or explanations. Since that lack of response is so common, it is my feeling that the people I spoke to do not have any idea how to fix the problem. I’m not sure there is way. By-the-way, I have deleted and reinstalled the app. That did not help. I await your reply.
Not sure why but you can’t choose the zone anymore. Went from 6 zones to 4, I should never have re synced my toothbrush. I just lost a feature.
Well I suits most of my needs but sometimes when I brush my teeth I shoes the time I last brushed my teeth and also isn’t always accurate to where I brush my teeth while using the app.
A recent update forced usage of the "daily coaching" feature, which was previously only available when you use the phone camera to track your brushing, but is now forced upon you even when you don’t use the camera. This new form of coaching maybe accurate if you brush with your mouth open, as was required when the camera was in use, but it is inaccurate when brushing as I do. I can observe the fact that it is inaccurately marking the amount of time I spend on tooth surfaces because it is frequently highlighting the wrong sections of my teeth while I am brushing ; this happens frequently during a brushing session. As a result, the app inaccurately assesses brushing coverage. This daily coaching feature should be optional, as was the case when a camera was required.
I love the app, but if my phone is not with me always in the bathroom then my sessions are not recorded. Would be nice for the brush to store and then transfer sessions when app is not on and phone nearby. Otherwise good experience.
I’ve used this app for years and never had a problem until this latest update. I want the timer back! The new positioning feature doesn’t track where I’m brushing nor do I only brush for the recommended two minutes anymore. I’ve given the app a little while to see if it would improve its accuracy. It hasn’t yet and not sure when it will. Instead of the usual two minutes, I’m brushing for four to six to get 100% coverage when I know that I’ve accomplished this at the two minute mark. I get the warning that I’m brushing for too long at four minutes. Is it worth over-brushing for the sake of accuracy? No.
I love this !! It is helpful when I need help. It is really important to brush your teeth!!!
The sensor array has never been accurate, regardless of using the suggested technique. Now, the developers removed timed sessions eliminating the utility of the app. Solid choice there devs. Explore other options if you haven’t made your brush system purchase already.
Brush history stopped syncing three days ago.
Initially the app did not work at all it was just a screen that said oral b it never changed. After a few days I noticed there was new update so I updated it and now it works great it’s fascinating
I don’t like that i says I’m brushing a different area then the one i’m on and it gives me a time limit like i just got braces let me take my time please!
This toothbrush has been a gamechanger for us. We have an autistic child who struggled to learn how to brush his teeth properly. This smart toothbrush provides him real-time feedback on how he is doing and motivates him to do better. He is doing such an amazing job now! Thanks Oral B!
I was hoping with the latest update I would get the option of using the tracking or not. I DO NOT want the tracking! It is very inaccurate, shows the wrong areas brushed, and wrong side being brushed. I want the timer back!
Hi there, so I’ve been a long time user of this app and toothbrush. I think it’s the genius series toothbrush around the 2019 model. That aside I’m disappointed that I have to use the coverage feature and not the timer. My toothbrush no longer vibrates to indicate when my session is over. I have it set to all sessions. On top of that I do not like the coverage percentages, they do not feel accurate and just to make it get 100% I have to spend longer than 2 minutes to brush. It’s fine that the feature exists but I would like an option to disable it like before.
This app makes me want to brush my teeth! It is so useful and free! There are absolutely no in app purchases which is very sigma. Wishing you all a good day and enjoy this wonderful app!!!😋😋
I used to love the app but the last update added a mouth area versus just the 2 minute timer. Why isn’t there an option to select what view you want. That’s why it’s a 2 versus a 5
Last update automatically takes you to live brushing which when you are brushing is totally inaccurate. I’m brushing bottom teeth on left and it shows I’m brushing top teeth on right! Also bring back 30 second vibration so I can move on from one quadrant to another.
Please bring back the older version! I’ve been using this for years along with the app. Now I can’t change the time for vibrations, the visuals are incorrect and annoying, and there is lack of help. I just updated before I left the review and tried it. Still not good.
I just bought a new iO line toothbrush for the Bluetooth connectivity. But when I go to download the app to get the toothbrush and my phone connected, the app refuses to open. I’ve tried turning off my phone and turning it back on, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, making sure both my phone and the app were on the correct update and nothing worked. Overall terrible experience.
I updated the app and now I can’t get it to brush in six sections, just four sections… Where did the setting go?
On iOS 18.4.1. App won’t open just crashes after 10 secs on start up,
Doesn’t maintain charge. App and interface needs improvement.
I’ve put up with this app recording wrong brushing time for months. Now with 10.3.1 it doesn’t even open. And before the developer blames the user and system updates, my 16 Pro is running 18.4.1 (current version) and I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. It’s just a trash update that wasn’t properly tested and hasn’t been fixed since it was launched.
Some days the app opens and other it just doesn’t. Frustrated
Latest update broke the app. It no longer opens. Crashes on startup.
How to return to English??????
App crashes when I try to open . I’ve deleted and reinstalled app several times .
Greatest app to track my cleaning.
While I love the toothbrush but every time thy do an update the break the app. Now after brushing it says that it’s paused and doesn’t log the correct brush time. These updates always break the app. You would think by now that they would test it before rolling them out but this has been happening EVERY SINGLE UPDATE 😡😡😡😡
What the heck happened to the timer function!? I don’t need your stupid face tracking as it doesn’t work anymore.
It’s not really a super necessary app but it does help reinforce proper brushing so that’s good. It worked fine for me for quite a while until the latest update totally broke it. Now it just sits at the title page for about 20 seconds and crashes out.
